Student Assistant Application: Ocean View Stables

At Ocean View Stables, we invite dedicated Student to apply after completing Level 1 of our equestrian program. Becoming a Student Assistant provides the opportunity to further your knowledge of horses and refine the skills you've learned during your lessons. As our program emphasizes comprehensive horsemanship, it's essential to understand the intricacies of horse care and the operations of our facility. After being accepted, you can book your time and day to help out by clicking the "Book Now" button. We offer various opportunities to assist, as outlined below.

Stable Chores Team:

  • 1) Feeding and watering horses
    2)Leading and grooming horses
    3)Cleaning stalls, paddocks, and aisle ways

Ranch Operations Team:

  • 1) Landscaping, gardening, and weed eating
    2) Barn, stall and fencing repairs
    3) Beautification and painting

Ranch Inspection Team:

  • 1) Taking photos and making notes on what's going well and what needs improvement
    2) Walking the ranch to assess areas that require cleaning, painting, or replacement

Wrangler Support Team:

As our most crucial group, this team assists with all horse-related activities at the ranch, providing hands-on experience with the horses and opportunities to ride. (Note: You must begin on one of the other teams before advancing to this team.)
